Terms and Conditions

Last updated: May 2026

1. Introduction

These terms govern the use of the Solar Panels For Businesses website and the provision of commercial solar panel supply and installation services by Solar Panels For Businesses (“we”, “us”) to clients and prospective clients across the United Kingdom. By contacting us, requesting a site survey, or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Services

We provide commercial solar panel supply and installation services including but not limited to commercial rooftop solar, ground-mounted solar systems, battery storage, solar-integrated EV charging, system monitoring, and grants and funding support. The specific scope and specification of services for each client is agreed in writing before work commences.

We operate across the whole of the United Kingdom. System performance estimates are indicative and based on standard irradiance data for the installation location. Actual generation will vary depending on weather, shading, panel orientation, and system maintenance.

3. Free Site Survey

The free site survey we offer is provided without obligation. It constitutes our professional assessment of your premises based on a physical visit and available data. The survey does not create a client relationship or any obligation on either party. We reserve the right to decline to carry out a survey at our discretion.

4. Quotations and Proposals

Written quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change after this period. A quotation does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have signed a written agreement. We reserve the right to revise a quotation if site conditions differ materially from those assessed during the survey.

5. Client Obligations

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about their premises and electricity usage
  • Ensure safe and reasonable access to the site for survey, installation, and any follow-up visits
  • Obtain any planning permissions, landlord consents, or DNO approvals required for the installation
  • Respond to requests for approvals or information within agreed timeframes
  • Make payments as agreed in the service agreement

6. Payment Terms

Payment schedules, deposit requirements, and final payment terms are set out in the written service agreement for each project. We typically require a deposit before materials are ordered and a final payment on or before practical completion. Late payments may result in work being paused. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

7. Grants and Funding

We will assist clients in identifying and applying for applicable grants, loans, and incentive schemes where agreed. We cannot guarantee the outcome of any grant application, as eligibility and funding decisions are at the sole discretion of the relevant government body or funding authority. Withdrawal or reduction of any scheme does not affect your obligation to pay for the installation.

8. Warranties

We provide a workmanship warranty on installations as detailed in the written agreement. Panel and inverter manufacturers provide their own product warranties independently of our installation warranty. Warranty claims arising from modifications made by third parties, physical damage, or failure to maintain the system as instructed are excluded from our workmanship warranty.

9. Intellectual Property

System designs, proposals, and technical documentation we produce become your property upon full payment. Our internal processes, software, and design frameworks remain our intellectual property at all times.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the contract value of the specific installation giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated energy savings, or consequential losses of any kind. We are not responsible for losses arising from grid connection delays, DNO decisions, planning refusals, or events outside our reasonable control.

11. Cancellation

Either party may cancel the service agreement prior to materials being ordered, subject to the terms set out in the written agreement. Once materials have been ordered or installation has commenced, cancellation charges may apply as set out in the agreement. We reserve the right to terminate immediately if a client acts in a way that is unlawful or in breach of these terms.

12. Website Use

This website is provided for information purposes. We make reasonable efforts to ensure the information on this site is accurate but do not guarantee it is complete or current. System savings figures and payback periods are illustrative examples based on typical commercial usage and current energy prices, which are subject to change. You use this site at your own risk.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
